Moray School Bank

Moray School Bank is a registered charity in Scotland (SCO47459). The charity was set up in 2017 with the aim of providing school uniform and warm winter clothing to children living in poverty across Moray ensuring all children are equal and have opportunities to reach their potential at school.

Our ethos is to involve children across Moray in helping us to achieve our aim so that our local children can help their peers.

This year we have changed how we work and families can now come to us directly to discuss what they need.  Our offer is now a ‘pre-loved first’ model -where we will offer pre-loved school uniform for the sake of the planet and sustainability of the charity. This year we ask parents to come along and speak to us at our pop in shop in St Giles Centre, Elgin.  We can then talk you through how we can help.

Our Vision

Supporting People to Learn – through access to school uniform and warm winter clothing.

Enabling People to Grow – gaining confidence, skills and experience through volunteering.

Empowering People to Thrive – by helping communities to connect and offering opportunities to support one another.

Our Team

What we have to offer is centred around support for families experiencing financial difficulties.  We have a number of different projects that we run, which have all been based upon evidenced need for families.

We pride ourselves in supporting people from a dignified and empowered place.  We walk beside people while they ascertain where the changes need to happen and spend time with them while they choose the road that will help them get to their choice of destination.

We are a small team of 6 part-time employees who deliver the projects alongside our ever growing team of committed volunteers, without whom our work would just not be possible.

We are led by a small board of voluntary trustees who meet regularly throughout the year to manage and agree the work we deliver.

To find out more about the projects we deliver go to ‘How we Help‘.
